How to Send Your Square by Mail

Mail Your Square

If you are not local or prefer to mail your donation, you can send your square directly to us.

Before mailing:

  • Make sure ends are woven in

  • Include your name (optional but appreciated!)

  • Use a simple envelope or padded mailer

For the current mailing address, please visit our Contact Page. The address is listed there to ensure you always have the most up-to-date information.

Mailing your square is a popular choice, especially if you’re not near a drop-off location. Here’s how to do it right:

  • Choose the right packaging: Use a padded envelope or a small box to protect your square during transit. Avoid folding it too tightly to keep the stitches intact.

  • Label clearly: Write the recipient’s address legibly and include a return address. If your project has specific mailing instructions, follow those carefully.

  • Select a reliable carrier: Use USPS, FedEx, UPS, or your local postal service. Consider tracking options to ensure your square arrives safely.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure your square arrives in great condition and on time.

Why Coordination Matters

Importance of Clear Communication

Each donated square is carefully collected, organized, and later joined with others to create full blankets. Clear communication helps ensure:

  • Squares are received safely

  • Drop-offs are smooth

  • No donations are misplaced

  • The joining process stays organized

This mission is built on community trust — and simple communication helps protect that.

Role of Coordination

Whether you mail your square or drop it off locally, coordination plays a key role in the success of the project.

Taking a moment to coordinate your contribution helps the entire project run smoothly and makes your effort count even more.

What Happens After You Send It?

Once your square arrives:

  • It is sorted and grouped with others

  • It is joined into a larger blanket

  • That blanket becomes part of a comfort effort supporting terminally ill benefit recipients

Your square will not sit on a shelf or be thrown away!

It will become part of something bigger.

It will help create warmth during a season when comfort matters most.

Once you’ve mailed your square or dropped it off, you might wonder what happens after you send it. Here’s the journey your square takes:

  • Collection and sorting: Volunteers gather all squares and check them for size, quality, and cleanliness.

  • Assembly: Squares are sewn or crocheted together to create blankets, scarves, or other comfort items.

  • Distribution: Finished items are delivered to hospitals, shelters, or individuals facing hardship.

  • Sharing stories: Many projects share updates or photos showing how your square helped someone, creating a sense of connection.

Knowing this process can make your contribution feel even more rewarding.
